August 24 Community Serve Day
9am-1pm at Rockwell
Community Serve Day is when local churches, schools, and the community come together to help 24 Northshore and Lake Washington schools get ready for the first day of school. For one Sunday, we set aside our regular routines to pitch in—organizing classrooms, weeding, spreading mulch, painting playgrounds, and more.
This year at Rockwell, due to construction, most of our projects will be indoors, focusing on helping teachers prepare their classrooms for the new school year. Everyone is welcome to volunteer—families, kids (with parent supervision), grandparents, neighbors, and community members. Join us and make a difference right here at Rockwell! August 27 New Family Playdate
11am or 7pm at Rockwell
Are you new to Rockwell? Whether you have a brand-new kindergartener or have just moved to the area, we’d love to meet you! Join us for our New Family Playdate, hosted by the PTA. While the kids run, climb, and play, parents can connect with one another, meet members of the PTA, and get answers to all your questions from seasoned Rockwell families. It’s a fun, relaxed way to start building friendships before the school year begins! Join us from 11am-noon or 7pm-8pm--whatever works best for your schedule!
